number positions for the
CF / DF Series are the
reverse of the index
numbers for the U52-
Series knobs we carry.

Verify the switch is in the OFF position by turning the shaft to the left until it
stops. To determine the correct index number, you need to know the
direction of the ‘D’ flat on the switch shaft when it is mounted in relation to
the panel markings. The index numbers shown represent the position of the
‘D’ flat on the switch when the pointer is at 12 o’clock. If the pointer needs to
be facing any direction other than 12 o’clock, consider this:

Pos #1 – Pointer is facing opposite the ‘D’ flat
Pos #2 – Pointer is 90 degrees counter-clockwise from the ‘D’ flat
Pos #3 – Pointer is facing the ‘D’ flat
Pos #4 – Pointer is 90 degrees clockwise from the ‘D’ flat
